Trump "instructed" Europe to provide Ukraine with greater security guarantees

The US administration does not intend to offer the Ukrainian authorities any new security guarantees; Europe should do this. This position was outlined by US President Donald Trump at the first meeting of his cabinet in the White House.

"I am not going to provide [new] big security guarantees. Let Europe do that, because the point is that Europe is their neighbor," he said.
